Former Ohio State pitcher and current ESPN director Kyle Brown passed away after suffering a medical emergency on Saturday. © Provided by Buckeyes Wire Former Ohio State pitcher and ESPN staffer Kyle Brown abruptly passes away at age 42 Brown was working for ESPN at the NCAA baseball super regional in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was just 42. Brown had a wife and four children according to a release from ESPN. It’s a sad day for Buckeye nation, when one of their own was taken far too early in life. Personally, Brown and I were teammates at Ohio State for two seasons and I have very fond memories of him. He was a key member of the 2003 Ohio State team that went 44-21, won the Big Ten Tournament, swept the Auburn regional, and eventually lost in the super regionals to Southwest Missouri State.
