Will James Laurinaitis go into College Football Hall of Fame as Ohio State football assistant?


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State football star James Laurinaitis’ induction into the College Football Fall of Fame has always seemed inevitable. Laurinaitis remains one of two three-time All-American Buckeyes who is still eligible for induction but has not yet received the call. Punter Tom Skladany is the other, and currently, Ray Guy is the only punter in the hall. The National Football Foundation announced Monday that Laurinaitis is a candidate for the hall for the fifth time. Two-time All-American offensive lineman Chris Ward is also a candidate again.
