A qualifier in 2022, the Ohio State junior could not repeat the feat, but did manage to force some drama in a three-man playoff that also included professional golfers Alex Schaake and Dylan Wu. Needing to finish in the top five of the 75 competitors at Springfield Country Club, Moldovan shot a five-under par 65 in his first round and was two-under in his second.
