Houston Astros shortstop Zach Dezenzo was promoted to the Corpus Christi Hooks May 26 and Toronto Blue Jays right-handed pitcher T.J. Brock was assigned to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats Tuesday — both the Double-A affiliates of their respective organizations. Brock and Dezenzo were drafted in the sixth and 12th rounds, respectively, of the 2022 MLB June Amateur Draft. Dezenzo started the 2023 season with the High-A Asheville Tourists, hitting an otherworldly .407 with 11 doubles and four home runs while driving in 20 runs in 113 at-bats. He has already gone deep in his first 24 at-bats with the Hooks, hitting .333 with an on-base percentage of .448 and five stolen bases in seven games.
