Ohio State is looking for new leadership for its women’s lacrosse program. The Buckeyes will not bring back Amy Bokker, who took over as head coach of the program in June of 2019, for the final year of her contract in 2024, according to a release from the Department of Athletics on Wednesday. Bokker became the third head coach in the history of Ohio State women’s lacrosse after 11 seasons at Stanford, where she led the Cardinal to six conference titles and eight NCAA tournament appearances over 11 seasons as head coach. However, Bokker did not realize the same level of success in scarlet and gray. The Buckeyes went 5-4 during the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season, Bokker’s first at Ohio State, and the Buckeyes lost 28 of their next 46 games in the subsequent three campaigns.
