Former Ohio State quarterback and current ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit recently spoke with David Briggs of the Toledo Blade about what Herbstreit referred to as the “lunatic fringe” of Buckeyes supporters who want Day fired mostly because of the outcomes of two games. “The 15 percenters, they get mad at anything,” Herbstreit remarked. “That percent is going to be mad at something always.” The “something” in this instance is Ohio State getting crushed in back-to-back seasons by the rival Michigan Wolverines.
