COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two years ago Denzel Burke saved Ohio State’s cornerback room as a true freshman and now he can spark a new age of first-round talent. When he took the field as a starter in a 2021 season-opening win over Minnesota he took the first steps in making the Buckeyes’ concept of “Best In America” actually mean something again instead of just being a cool slogan on social media. That road took a detour last season as he spent the year fighting numerous injuries that made him question his own confidence at times.
