The Ohio State Buckeyes have made amendments to their 2024 and 2029 non-conference schedules, the athletics department announced Wednesday. © Provided by Buckeyes Now on FanNation The Buckeyes are already slated to host Southern Mississippi in their season opener Aug. 31, 2024, and the Western Michigan game at Ohio Stadium that was originally scheduled for Sept. 21, 2024, has now been moved up to Sept. 7, 2024. The game replacing the previously scheduled matchup against the Broncos has been filled with a home matchup against Marshall. A pair of non-conference games at the ‘Shoe against Nevada and Charlotte on Sept. 1, 2029, and Sept. 8, 2029, respectively, were also announced Wednesday. Barring any bowl game meetings before then, this will be the first-ever meetings with both the Wolfpack and 49ers. Ohio State beat Western Michigan 38-12 in its only meeting in 2015.
