Will Ohio State football face transfer portal desperation again in 2024?

COLUMBUS, Ohio — After two NCAA transfer portal windows and a handful of official visits, Ohio State football finally landed some offensive tackle help over the weekend. Josh Simmons brings 13 starts at right tackle that looked like what you would expect from a second-year player in major college football. San Diego State’s former starter would have been striving for more consistency this fall wherever he played. He decided to join a Buckeye offensive line group still largely seeking the same. Ohio Sate saw this problem on the horizon by the end of the 2021 season. It contributed to decision to bring Justin Frye in as offensive line coach.
