Ohio State Basketball To Open Season At Home Against Oakland

For the third time ever, the Ohio State Buckeyes will face the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. It was reported by CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein Monday that Ohio State will open its season at Value City Arena in Columbus Nov. 6 against Oakland. The Buckeyes are 2-0 all-time against the Golden Grizzlies, winning 76-50 on Dec. 27, 1999, ranked No. 15 in the AP Top 25 and 92-63 Dec. 23, 2010, as the No. 2-ranked team. The Buckeyes will then welcome the Texas A&M Aggies to Columbus four days later before taking on the West Virginia Mountaineers at an unannounced venue in Cleveland on Dec. 30.  Ohio State will also compete and play in the CBS Sports Classic against North Carolina, UCLA, or Kentucky.
