COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State basketball team has a start date for the 2023-24 season after scheduling a season opener against Oakland. Recommended Buckeyes stories The Buckeyes’ season will tip off on Nov. 6 at home against the Golden Grizzlies in what will be just the fourth meeting between the two programs. OSU is 3-0 all-time in the matchup with the most recent being in a 29-point win in 2010. Ohio State’s 2023-24 schedule is practically complete after scheduling its season opener. Other non-conference games include neutral sites games against West Virginia (Cleveland) and playing in the CBS Sports Classic alongside Kentucky, North Carolina and UCLA. It will also compete in the Emerald Coast Classic in Niceville, Florida, over Thanksgiving weekend alongside Alabama, Oregon and Santa Clara.
