The Buckeyes clambered from last in the conference up to 12th, handing the Illini an embarrassing loss. Illinois came into the first game of the series on Friday with a 7-6 loss against Bradley under their belts. The overcast sky may have foreshadowed the end result of Friday’s game, as the Buckeyes reigned triumphant over the Illini with a 10-2 win. Illinois started off strong with a 2-0 lead during the top of the second but could never get on top of Ohio State for the rest of the game.
