Ohio State extends an NFL Draft record

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State Buckeyes widened their lead for the most first-round draft picks in NFL history after C.J. Stroud, Paris Johnson Jr., and Jaxon Smith-Njigba were drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday night. That gave Ohio State 90 first-round picks since the draft started in 1936. The Buckeyes took the lead over USC for most first-round picks in 2020 and have extended their lead the last three years. The Trojans had one first-round pick Thursday and sit at 86 first-rounders.
