COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball has announced its first game of the 2023-24 season and it’s taking the team back to Cleveland. The Buckeyes will play a neutral site game against West Virginia in Cleveland on Dec. 30. This will be the first time the two teams have met since 2019 when the Mountaineers won 67-59 in a game that was also played in Cleveland inside Rocket Mortage Arena. That game served as the first of four-straight losses for a team that spent January tumbling down the rankings losing seven out of eight games. While there is a date and a city set for where the game will be played, details on what venue it will happen in are still being discussed as a contract has not yet been finalized.
