Even as Ohio State football faced itself during its annual spring game Saturday, Desmond Howard found a chance to to highlight “The Game.” In the third quarter of the Buckeyes’ spring game, two-time Heisman Trophy winning running back Archie Griffin was given a ceremonial handoff from quarterback Kyle McCord, taking it 25 yards for a touchdown. After he crossed the goal line, Griffin struck a Heisman pose similar to what Howard made famous as a Michigan wide receiver against the Buckeyes on a punt return score in 1991. That pose was something Howard could not let Griffin get away with. “Camera guy gave Arch the ball and said ‘do that thing the Michigan player did,'” Howard, not a college football analyst for ESPN, tweeted Saturday night.
