Pursuit of big recruits fell short a couple of years ago. So did the Buckeyes’ best efforts to land a difference-making veteran via the transfer portal. Perhaps that remains an option when the spring portal opens on Saturday, depending on who decides to enter their name. Barring that, the opening-day starter at right tackle will either be an unproven veteran with marginally more experience or an even less proven young player with more upside.
