West Clermont 2024 forward Seini Hicks announced her verbal commitment to Ohio State University on Twitter Monday afternoon. The Buckeyes land one of the top players in Greater Cincinnati, who helped lead West Clermont to an Eastern Cincinnati Conference championship last season. In addition to sibling Demarcus Henry, Hicks is the sister of Chris Henry Jr., who originally joined Hicks at West Clermont before transferring to Withrow in November. Before coming to Cincinnati, Hicks helped lead Julius Chambers High School (Charlotte, North Carolina) to a state title as a sophomore. In her first season at West Clermont in the winter, Hicks averaged a double-double per night at 13 points and 10 rebounds to go with 2.4 assists and 1.4 blocks. Hicks finished with 11 double-doubles on the year, leading to first-team all-district and second-team All-Ohio honors. Hicks helped lead West Clermont to an outright ECC crown.
