A proposal for Ohio State to honor Dwayne Haskins with a new addition to Buckeye Grove: Doug Lesmerises


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football legends live on in Buckeye Grove. The planting of a tree to honor every first-team All-American in Ohio State history literally brings life to the past. Buckeyes who have passed on, from Chic Harley to Bill Willis, from Jack Tatum to Korey Stringer, from Terry Glenn to Will Smith, are honored not only with a plaque, but with a living, growing tree. It’s an eternal remembrance, one of the great traditions in college football. Dwayne Haskins deserves a tree. Dwayne Haskins deserves to live on where the legends of Buckeye football never stop growing. Haskins died a year ago, on April 9, 2022, at the age of 24, struck by a truck on a highway in Florida.
