Ohio State basketball lands commitment from Minnesota transfer Jamison Battle

Ohio State has addressed a position of need for next season, and it didn’t have to go outside of the Big Ten to do so. The Buckeyes have landed a commitment from Jamison Battle, a fifth-year forward who spent the last two seasons at Minnesota before entering the transfer portal in mid-March. A prolific scorer, the 6-7, 220-pound Minnesota native averaged 15.1 points, shot 41.4% from the floor and 33.9% from 3-point range while starting all 56 games he played for the Golden Gophers. He has one final year of eligibility remaining. CBS Sports has him ranked as the No. 16 transfer player in the nation. Battle began his college career at George Washington, where he shot 36.3% from 3 and averaged 13.5 points in 47 games including 45 starts. He averaged a career-high 17.3 points during his second year, in which the Colonials managed to play only 17 games…
