COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State has found its 2024 running back following the commitment of James Peoples from Veterans Memorial High School in Texas. The nation’s No. 69 player and No. 5 running back chose the Buckeyes over 25 other schools with Oklahoma and Texas also getting major consideration. This decision followed his unofficial visit over the weekend. He’s the first of potentially two running backs they hope to take in this cycle and can be considered a big win coming off losing in-state top 100 target Jordan Marshall to Michigan. The four-star recruit is also the first running back that OSU has pulled out of Texas since brining in J.K. Dobbins as a top 100 recruit in the 2017 class.
