Wolverine recruiting report: Commitment from 2024 top-5 RB another win vs. Ohio State


Michigan’s football program once again made inroads recruiting Ohio in the 2023 class, thanks to back-to-back wins over Ohio State. The Wolverines, who landed just one Ohio prospect for three straight cycles from 2020-22, signed four from the Buckeye state in the 2023 class, but none of the recruitments were true head-to-head battles against OSU. Tuesday was a different story. Michigan plucked a commitment from Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller 2024 four-star running back Jordan Marshall, the No. 91 overall recruit nationally and No. 3 in Ohio who was named Gatorade Player of the Year in the state after rushing for 1,951 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior. Not only is Marshall Michigan’s first top-100 commit the past two classes, but he’s the first top-100 recruit from Ohio to choose the Wolverines since Dymonte Thomas in 2013. And he was a top target on Ryan Day and his staff’s recruiting board.…
