COLUMBUS, Ohio — A year ago, Ohio State football signed the highest-rated recruit in program history, and now it’s on pace to top it with 2024 quarterback commit Dylan Raiola, who has earned a perfect rating of 1.000 from 247Sports.com. Quinn Ewers picked the Buckeyes and eventually showed up earlier than expected as the top player in the 2022 class before reclassifying to 2021. Regardless of which class he was in, he was viewed as a perfectly rated recruit as the sixth player to earn that status and second quarterback. That rating is supposed to be something applied to guys who are seen as generational talents, but it’s lately become the norm for the nation’s top player/quarterback.
