COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football coach Ryan Day said he does not expect long absences for starting cornerbacks Denzel Burke and Cam Brown. Injuries to both of Buckeyes’ starting cornerbacks left them unavailable for Saturday’s 52-21 victory over Wisconsin. Redshirt freshman JK Johnson and true freshman Jyaire Brown were forced into their first career starts. “We’re not expecting those to be long-term things,” Day said of Burke and Cam Brown’s injuries. “Not having those guys in there and their experience was a concern going into the game. But Jyaire and JK have been practicing really hard all spring. They practiced all preseason. They’ve been out there. “We told them right before the game we believe in them, and we do.
