COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football is opening up the Big Ten portion of its season against a quality opponent that it may see again down the road regardless of who wins on Saturday. That was the case the last time the Buckeyes hosted Wisconsin in a regular-season game in 2019. That game determined that Ryan Day’s first team as head coach was a legitimate national title contender with a Heisman Trophy-level quarterback. The latter of those things isn’t already known since OSU isn’t being led by a first-year starter. Whether this is a title-contending team may not be much of a question either, but we’ve yet to see what this team looks like at full strength against a quality opponent.
