On the day after the College Football Playoff board decided on expanding the playoff, there are games this week that will factor in CFP rankings later this year. The reigning champion Georgia Bulldogs, ranked No. 3, open the season against their former defensive coordinator Dan Lanning, who is now the coach of the Oregon Ducks. The No. 7 Utah Utes, who won the Pac-12 last season, travel to Gainesville, Florida, to face the Florida Gators and new coaches make their debuts at Miami, Oklahoma and USC among others.
