Ohio State football coach Ryan Day updates health status of Buckeyes for Notre Dame game


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football endeavored to build toughness while simultaneously protecting health during preseason camp. Two days before Saturday’s season opener against Notre Dame, coach Ryan Day said he was pleased with the health of the team. “The balance you try to find is how do you make your team tougher, more physical, and calloused and hard, but also make sure they’re healthy and ready to go in that first game,” Day said on his weekly radio show on 97.1 The Fan. “I think we struck that balance. “… When you see it, it’s exciting to know we’re full strength.” Ohio State will release an availability report on Saturday, typically a couple of hours before kickoff.
