On Ohio State running backs’ tribute to Evan Pryor, Miyan Williams’ role and Donovan Jackson: Buckeye Bits


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s running backs are playing for more than production Saturday against Notre Dame. TreVeyon Henderson said the running back room has dedicated its season to Evan Pryor, who suffered a season-ending knee injury during preseason camp. The redshirt freshman was in line for a bigger role in the offense before suffering that injury in practice. “It was very disappointing,” Henderson said. “I was down for a while, just seeing that happen to him and how hard he worked. Us as a whole team, we were just down and sad to see that.” Freshman Dallan Hayden elevated to the No. 3 spot after Pryor’s injury. Henderson is the returning starter and Miyan Williams is his returning backup. Neither of those backs revealed any details of the usage plan coach Ryan Day hinted at on Tuesday. Williams entered the Rose Bowl against Utah on the fourth series.…
