COLUMBUS, Ohio — The matching pieces of brown leather furniture in Ryan Day’s office are strategically placed. You just melt into those plush sofas. Day also has all of the typical things you’d expect to find in the office of the head coach at Ohio State — championship trophies, College Football Playoff rings, photographs of his family, flat-screen televisions and a back-lit Block O mounted on the tiled wall. But there is also a fireplace. Day’s design goals when he renovated his office in 2019 were to create a cozy family room.
