COLUMBUS, Ohio — Predicting some statistical milestones for the Ohio State Buckeyes this 2022 football season. Ohio State’s pass rush over the past two seasons has been best described as one able to get pressure but unable to get home. It’s why the Buckeyes’ haven’t had a single player with at least six sacks since Chase Young broke the school record with 16.5 in 2019. Sacks are hard. That especially reigns true for a program that’s had a reputation of developing elite pass rushers for so long that teams have adapted to that reality by getting rid of the ball quicker.
