Ohio State linebacker Chip Trayanum has taken reps at running back in practice and could be used in emergency situations this fall. The Buckeyes’ depth chart at running back took a hit last week when Evan Pryor suffered a knee injury in practice. With Pryor expected to miss the season, the Buckeyes have only three available scholarship backs among TreVeyon Henderson, Miyan Williams and Dallan Hayden. Trayanum, who is from Akron, was a running back the past two seasons at Arizona State before switching to the defensive side of the ball when he transferred to Ohio State. “He’s natural,” Day said, “He’s doing a great job at linebacker as well. He’ll be a guy we can use as insurance. But just seeing him live and in color, he’s a talented running back. We can use him in a dual role if needed.” He rushed for 401 yards and six touchdowns…
