A nine-year assistant coach for Purdue’s Matt Painter, Owens comes to the Buckeyes after most recently spending five seasons as head coach at Miami (Ohio). The news was first reported by the Dispatch on April 2. “We are really excited about the addition of Jack Owens,” Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann said in a statement. “He has shown the ability for a number of years to coach, recruit and develop talent at the highest level.
