The first quarterback among 2024?s quarter of five-stars committed on Monday night. Dylan Raiola from Chandler, Arizona, chose Ohio State over Alabama, Georgia, USC, Oregon and more. Raiola, listed at 6-foot-3, 225-pounds, unofficially visited Tuscaloosa last June. The Crimson Tide offered him in October, but there wasn’t much momentum. The Buckeyes called a week later and eventually set a visit for April. Ohio State head coach Ryan Day continued his recruitment of top signal-callers, with Raiola being the fourth five-star to commit since 2019. Raiola ranks as the third-best quarterback in 247Sports Composite rankings for 2024. The site’s own list ranks Raiola as the top player in the country. A son of a former NFL center, Raiola spent two seasons at Burelson (Texas) High and won eight games in Class 5A as a sophomore.
