Staff reports | The Columbus Dispatch The Ohio State women’s tennis team lost to Vanderbilt 4-2 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Sunday at the Buckeyes’ Auer Tennis Complex. Vanderbilt advanced to the Super Regional, where it will face No. 7 Texas A&M. Ohio State, the No. 10 seed, finished 21-6. The Commodores clinched the match when Amy Stevens defeated Luna Dormet 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 at No. 6 singles. Vanderbilt won the doubles point with victories by Anna Ross/Holly Staff over Kolie Allen/Isabelle Boulais and by MaryAnn Rompf/Dasha Kourkina over Luna Dormet /Sydni Ratliff. In singles, OSU’s Irina Cantos Siemers topped Ross 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 and Ratliff beat Anessa Lee 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3. Vanderbilt’s Staff defeated Boulais 7-6, 6-1 at No. 2 and Marcella Cruz topped Allen 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4.
