WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Austin Siereveld of Lakota East High School has committed to the Ohio State football program as it continues to build its 2023 class. The four-star prospect is the nation’s No. 351 player and No. 20 interior offensive lineman in what is expected to be a major cycle for the position group. He chose the Buckeyes over 15 other schools, including Alabama and Notre Dame. Sierveld’s decision successfully checks off OSU’s goal for in-state 2023 offensive linemen. It landed Josh Padilla during the 2021 season then followed with Luke Montgomery being the first commit after the hiring of Justin Frye. Adding Siereveld follows in that pattern also giving the class five of Ohio’s top 11 players. Others include safety Malik Hartford and defensive lineman Will Smith Jr., with potentially one more addition in linebacker Arvell Reese.
