Andre Turrentine, an Ensworth product, commits to Tennessee Vols after Ohio State transfer

Former Ensworth football star Andre Turrentine has committed to Tennessee football a week after entering the transfer portal following one season at Ohio State. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound safety played in three games with the Buckeyes. He’ll join a Vols team that carries questions in their secondary, albeit not specifically at Turrentine’s primary position. UT has been searching for a cornerback in the transfer portal. However, the Vols value defensive backs with versatility, so coaches will find a fit for Turrentine. Turrentine was the No. 4 prospect in the state of Tennessee in the class of 2021 and the No. 9 safety in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite.
