COLUMBUS, Ohio — Three observations from Ohio State football’s Spring Game. 1. J.T. Tuimoloau displayed everything the Buckeyes need from their defensive ends on consecutive plays at the start of the second quarter. On the first, the sophomore pushed across the line to meet Evan Pryor in the backfield and take the running back down for no gain. Tyliek Williams’ facemask penalty, though, negated the stop. On the next snap, Tuimoloau pushed into the backfield again and touched Devin Brown for the first of his two sacks. Where this potentially becomes a problem for the Big Ten is Tuimoloau was not on the first string defensive line Saturday. Neither was fellow five-star sophomore Jack Sawyer, or Williams, or top-60 redshirt freshman defensive tackle Mike Hall. Ohio State’s offensive line numbers have been compromised all spring.
