COLUMBUS, Ohio — C.J. Stroud took the field for the first offensive series of Ohio State football’s Spring Game with a little extra weight on his back. He’s worn the No. 7 dating back to his time at Rancho Cucamonga High School in California, but on Saturday that jersey had a bit more importance. A week ago former OSU starting quarterback Dwayne Haskins was killed after being hit by a dump truck in Florida. The Buckeyes had spent the week figuring out a way to honor him. That included a vigil on Tuesday night attended by fans along with both current and former players. On Saturday his initials were carved into the field while a decal was worn on helmets.
