What Malik Hartford’s commitment date means to Ohio State football: Buckeyes Recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football could be on the verge of adding another member to its 2023 recruiting class in Malik Hartford of Lakota West High School. The four-star recruit is the nation’s No. 154 player and No. 11 safety holding offers from 25 schools. The Buckeyes have emerged as the favorite with Cincinnati, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and West Virginia also chasing him. He’ll announce his decision April 6 on CBS Sports HQ at 3:30 p.m. Adding Hartford to a group that already ranks seventh nationally with five commits would continue OSU’s run of success within its backyard with three of the top four in-state players headed to Columbus.
