Former Ohio State linebacker K’Vaughan Pope to play for Buckeye legend Eddie George at Tennessee State


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State linebacker K’Vaughan Pope will join up with a Buckeye legend to continue his college football career. Pope announced on Twitter he will transfer to Tennessee State, coached by Eddie George. The 1995 Heisman Trophy winner is entering his second season with the Football Championship Subdivision-level team. “Called up Eddie George and asked him what’s new and he said it’s you,” Pope wrote in announcing the move. Pope’s OSU career ended in inauspicious fashion when he stormed of the sideline mid-game in last season’s victory over Akron. He returned to the locker room after removing his jersey on the sideline and later Tweeted profanity directed at the program. He was dismissed from the team the following day.
