Former Ohio State star Malcolm Jenkins retires from NFL after raising standard for Buckeye defensive backs


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Malcolm Jenkins established himself as an all-time great with Ohio State football, leaving as a consensus All-American, Jim Thorpe Award winner and first-round NFL Draft pick. Then he extended that legacy in the pros, helping establish the standard of excellence for Buckeye defensive backs. That 13-year NFL career ended Wednesday when Jenkins told The Pivot podcast he is retiring.
