Notre Dame’s first commitment in the 2023 recruiting class was defensive end Keon Keeley, who made his pledge to the Fighting Irish on June 28, 2021. Shortly after he began receiving offers from other big-time programs like Alabama, USC, Georgia, Florida, and plenty of others. One of those others was Ohio State who offered Keeley, a Tampa resident back on December 1, 2021, literally just hours after news broke that Brian Kelly was leaving Notre Dame for LSU. Keeley has stayed committed to Notre Dame despite taking trips to other colleges recently.
