NCAA Tournament: Missouri State Lady Bears' season ends in first-round loss to Ohio State

This story will be updated BATON ROUGE, La. — Missouri State’s third-consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament ended in the first round after a 63-56 loss to Ohio State on Saturday afternoon The Lady Bears fell to the Buckeyes at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.MSU’s previous two NCAA trips ended in trips to the Sweet 16. This season had more adversity than the previous three as the Lady Bears’ year ends with a 25-8 record. With multiple season-ending injuries to star players throughout the year, it was an incredible accomplishment in itself that Missouri State fought through and received an at-large bid to dance. Amaka Agugua-Hamilton’s third season ends with an incredible 74-15 record. She has maintained the excellence left behind by the former regime while keeping the proud Missouri State women’s basketball program in the national conversation.
