Taylor Mikesell's 32 points lead Ohio State past Illinois 90-69


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Taylor Mikesell scored a career-high 32 points thanks to a brilliant night from beyond the arc as Ohio State crushed Illinois 90-69. The Stark County native was 8 of 14 from 3-point range, helping OSU pull away after trailing by one through the first quarter. Tanaya Beacham and Rikki Harris each added 15 points off the bench for the Buckeyes (10-3, 2-2 Big Ten), with the figure also being a career-high for the latter. De’Myla Brown had 13 points to lead Illinois (5-8, 0-2), while Kendell Bostic scored 11 with 16 rebounds. The Illini out-rebounded the Bucks 48-33, but made only 4 of their 22 3-point attempts.
