Urban Meyer confirms Trayvon Martin photo was used in Ohio State meeting to reinforce ‘no hoodies’


After denying it initially, former Ohio State University head coach Urban Meyer confirmed a story from former defensive back Marcus Williamson that an image of Trayvon Martin was used during a Buckeyes team meeting in 2017 to enforce the program’s “no hoodies” policy. Meyer acknowledge Tuesday that the image was used, although he said he had no knowledge of it. “I didn’t know about it until one hour ago, until after talking to (former safety Tyvis Powell),” Meyer told Rob Oller of the Columbus Dispatch. “I wasn’t there (in the meeting). None of the coaches were present.
