Ohio State adds Oklahoma State S Tanner McCalister, who follows defensive coordinator Jim Knowles to Buckeyes

Ohio State added to its transitioning defense with a transfer commitment from former Oklahoma State safety Tanner McCalister on Wednesday. McCalister, who will have one year of eligibility remaining, joins the Buckeyes after starting 26 games during the past three seasons in coordinator Jim Knowles’ defense in Stillwater. Knowles was hired to be the defensive coordinator at Ohio State on Dec. 7. McCalister was a three-star prospect out of Rockwall (Texas) Heath High School in the Class of 2018.
