Former ASU back DeaMonte Trayanum on move to Ohio State: 'I want to play for a championship'

DeaMonte “Chip” Trayanum figured to be the lead running back for Arizona State in 2022 with Rachaad White, the workhorse the last two years, headed to the NFL. But the 5-foot-11, 235-pounder didn’t wait for that opportunity. Instead he put his name in the transfer portal, then committed to Ohio State. The school is bringing him in not to run the ball, but to play linebacker. It will be a return home for Trayanum who hails from Akron, 125 of so miles Northwest of the Ohio State campus in Columbus.
