COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s 2022 recruiting class had added its third defensive lineman in Omari Abor of Duncanville High School in Texas. The four-star recruit chose the Buckeyes over Alabama, Arizona State, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M and USC. He’s rated as the nation’s No. 38 player and No. 4 edge rusher. This is the second straight day the program has added a commitment after safety Cedrick Hawkins became the third member of the 2023 class during the Rose Bowl. Abor joins Kenyatta Jackson and Caden Curry in a class that may serve as a reload in the defensive line room. There’s some expectation that there could be a mass exodus in veteran talent opening up plenty of opportunities for young players to claim roles early making this a big class for defensive line numbers.
