The Buckeyes open the 2021 season in Minneapolis on Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. as they face the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the first game of the season that also serves as the first game of the Big Ten football season. There’s a new quarterback for Ohio State. C.J. Stroud takes over for NFL first round draft pick Justin Fields. Stroud beat out two 5-star quarterbacks over the spring and summer and has earned the confidence of his team. The defense is loaded with a strong front that includes several All-American candidates along with possible standout freshmen.
