MINNEAPOLIS — The Ohio State football team returns to the field on Thursday night to play Minnesota. It’s the first time the Buckeyes have played the Golden Gophers since 2018 in a 30-14 home win. They’ve won 10 straight and are 45-7 all-time in the series. The history between the two is one-sided, but that doesn’t take away from the significance of this game. When OSU’s offense takes the field, it will be the first time in the Ryan Day era it will be doing so without Justin Fields as its starting quarterback. He lives in Chicago now as the future of the Bears franchise. In Columbus, the C.J. Stroud era has begun.
