Palaie Gaoteote’s name isn’t easy to say for those unfamiliar with it. His situation at Ohio State, after transferring from USC this offseason, is even more complicated. For the record, Gaoteote’s name, nicknamed “EA” for short, is pronounced Paula-ee-ay (first name) Now-tay-oh-tay (last name). That’s about the only thing that is clear right now with the linebacker. What is known about Gaoteote is that he transferred to Ohio State sometime in June when his name appeared in the university’s student directory. While there was never an official announcement from the program on the transfer, Gaoteote then showed up in a social media picture with the rest of the Buckeye linebackers in early July.
